Phantamit is set to wrap up their iconic career in the Thai entertainment industry which has spanned over 30 years and has included a resume of big-screen smash hits such as ‘The Storm Riders’ and ‘Shaolin Soccer’, according to an official announcement.
Pariphan Watcharanon, the team leader, stated that their run will be coming to an end in April 2025, during an interview with the YouTube show ‘Hitstory’ which is a part of the Songtopia YouTube channel.
“I’m over 60 and want to travel and enjoy life a bit,” Watcharanon said (h/t Nation Thailand).
Watcharanon added that he will still lend his voice to films, bit will only be doing so on a part time bases, stating that his team was waiting for a project with numerous characters to ensure a memorable final contribution.
Phantamit was officially formed in 1995 and has made an unforgettable mark on the Thai entertainment industry with a team that has around 10 voice actors who have dubbed more than 3,000 films, both Thai and international.
