Suchata “Opal” Chuangsri, the reigning Miss Thailand, came up a bit short as she placed fourth in Miss Universe Mexico earlier in November but fans throughout Thailand are praising her for how far she made it in the pageants.
Chuangsri, 21, was born in Phuket back in 2003 and her parents run a hotel in the area. She started her journey as a model prior to entering her first Miss Rattanakosin pageant back in 2021 and became the youngest contestant in Miss Universe Thailand 2022.
It was at that event that she placed third runner up and won a special award, Miss Natural Beauty.
Currently, Chuangsri is studying in Thammasat University’s Faculty of Political Science and can speak Thai, English and Chinese.
Chuangsriwas crowned Miss Universe Thailand back in July of this year, with special awards including Miss Extravaganza, Voice for Change, Women Inspired 2024, Miss Charming Talent, and Miss Beauty and Confidence.
